Hi there, hopefully posting in the right forum. If not, could a mod please redirect me?
I am installing 4 Hella 500FF off-road lamps on my Land Cruiser. It’s an all new circuit, and I have a single 30A rated dash switch to control them all. Total draw is 55Wx4, or 18.3A if my math is right. All wiring is 14ga off an auxiliary fuse panel in the engine bay.
Given the wiring gauge, I’d feel better splitting the 4 lamps into 2 9A circuits, but I’d like to control them with the same switch so I don’t have to go through the firewall and install another switch. How do I wire up 2 relays controlled by one switch? How do I correctly fuse the whole install? I assume two15A fuses, one for each pair of lights.
I’ve run across the attached diagram that details my intent exactly, but want to double check here before installing. Having set a car on fire in my youth trying to wire off road lights, I’ve found you can’t be too thorough.
Thanks! Installing Off Road Lights, Multiple Relays with Single Switch -- posted image.

That will work great. Yes, 15 amp fuses.
My ex once told me I have a perfect face for radio.
