I currently have my Halo's to come on with dome lights, how can i also connect to a constant power to turn on using a toggle switch. When I tried it, it would also turn on the interior lights.

Middle pole to Halos.
Constant to terminal on one end.
Power from dome to the other terminal.
No diode needed.
If you use an On-Off-On type of switch you will be able to have the halos to come on with the domelight, or with the switch, and also turn them off.

Your bottom picture is missing one line to make it work. From middle terminal of switch to the PW terminal of the halo controller.
You drew the 2 components in the perfect place. Just draw a line from middle terminal of the switch straight down to pw on control box.
