I'm in a never ending search for the perfect pair of headlight bulbs.  I know I'm not going to find ones that look identical to HID bulbs.  I'm basically looking for a light that is very bright, very white, and with some blue to it.  The best ones I have seen so far are the PIAA bulbs.  Know of anything better?

i love my Sylvania Silverstars. i have them for mains and fogs. they run about $20 each and should last as long as regular halogen bulbs as long as you dont get fingerprints on them.
they dont have much blue to them but they are very bright.
here. have a picture.

I have the silverstars in my 97 tacoma.....great bulbs. I have the vision superwhites in my 06 civic....no comparison. I have also used PIAA's in my truck.

I like those better than the silverstars. The visions are standard wattage, whiter, brighter ...and looks good when I shut them off too....the blue "look" in the

headlights. (my car is blue)

Anyways.....

I love silverstars, if they would last longer than 3 months. I'm not an idiot and I didnt touch the bulb, bought them for the first time. On a cold morning turned the car on and one goes out, crapolla. Two days later the other burns out. Switched to the stock bulbs after that and will upgrade to HID later on....

just replaced my silverstars with new ones ( i think they may have been the cheaper apc,s )  i dont drive my truck much but if they burn out fast i will go back to the cheaper ones made by apc , reason is that my truck came with blue bulbs in it , and i can see really well , i replaced them when they burnt out with regular bulbs and i couldnt see anything like i used to , so i saw a sale on silverstars for 20 dollars for 2 , i put them in and walla i can see good again ,    but i went to walmart and saw the ones made by apc and i think thats what was in there and 2 of them are 15 dollars ,   ..........so if my silverstars burn out quick , i will just buy the cheap ones .

don't wanna sound like a jerk, but i've read in different forums that they give lifetime warr. cus they tend give out rather quick. the same goes with the silverstars. the silverstars i've read and heard that some for some reason just give out for no reason. yet i had mine for bout a year b4 i got my 8000k HID kit.
