woofer w/dvc on a 2 channel amp

I've read the forums, done me research  and know how I'm supposed to do this, but I have to ask the question for my own knowledge.

Question: If I have an amp (the 1 in question is a Infinity ref611a  http://manuals.harman.com/INF/CAR/Owner%27s%20Manual/REF_AMP_OM_rev_10_19_06.pdf) and a single DVC sub and wire them as follows what would be the out come/response? Wire 1 channel to 1 coil and the other channel to the other coil, what would be the out come. Question part 2: If I were to wire the positive connections to separate coils and cross the negatives. (channel 1 to channel 2 negative and vice a verse)

Any thoughts besides "What an idiot, and are you stupid" would greatly be appreciated.

According to that PDF your 611a is a monoblock, not a 2-channel.

Assuming a 4-ohm DVC, the proper way to wire it would be to parallel the woofer and wire it to the single channel on the amplifier.

The diagram shows how to wire up 2 subs I interpreted this as a 2 channel. My bad. I'm wondering what would happen if it was wired as 2 sub with 1 coil on ea output.

I have a JL 10w6 6 ohm. Not to mistaken for a 10w6v2 4 ohm.

You can wire one coil to one set of terminals and wire the other coil to the other set of terminals.  This will have your amp at a 3 ohm load.
