ok so the monster box from hell is now done. is set up for 2 x1252w infinities. this is a vented box tuned at 30hrz.. this box is a monster. it does fit and the guy i had make did a very nice job and even sound dead the inside of the box for free. issue is the spec from infinity have the subs pointing up, not towards the back or front. ive seen these boxes before and never had one untill now. problem is there is very little space allowed. from the subs to the trunk poss only around 8 inches.  this make car was one of the none mafia caddy trunks. ive seen other systems with even tighter set ups. i just want some info on what can damage speakers etc? the box could have been modded to have the norm speakers pointing towards the back or front still same issue only 6-8 inches of space. input guys?

Depends on if the speaker is suitable for up/down firing and its sag %.
Depends on the enclosure and application..sometimes it sounds better upfiring sometimes not.

6-8 inches is fine.
Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.
