Ok I have had this truck for about 8months now and have had little to no time to try and figure this out on my own. When I first got it, I took my Pioneer Avic D3 from my car and put it in the truck. I could not get the speakers to work unless I hooked up the amp remote wire to one of the vehicle oem wires. Now I'm wanting to add an amp and subs. I tried tying my amp remote wire to the existing wiring but I get no power for my amp. I tried installing a switched line from the ignition accessory wire and still no luck. Can someone please tell me how I can get an amp to work so I can get my bass back. Thanks
i am an idiot

Did you connect the power wire of the amp to the battery?

first try to stay away from using the ignition as a remote turn on(something goes bad and leaves you in the middle of nowhere w/o a ignition fuse) Test the voltage at the amp

Check the volts at the battery and at the amp terminals, turn the deck on and than test the remote wire for power and compare the volts. There should be very little drop and be over 12v with the ign off or over 14 with it running. If that all checks out fine the amp has problems.

Also ive seen poor connections show good volts and no amp turn on

The greatest revenge is living well and showing it
