amp not getting enough power

when i turn the volume up, it sounds like my amp is not getting enough power to my subs (they sound good through volume 1-25, but loose power at 25-30. i was just wondering what could be causing this. i already have a capacitor BTW heres the main stuff kenwood KAC-9152D with 4 gauge batt cable-900 watt RMS Pioneer 600 watt RMS amp with 8 guage batt cable 2 alpine type r 12's 4 farad power acoustic capacitor is it my battery/alternator? do i need bigger battery cable? if my battery goes completely dead do i need to recharge my capacitor. P.S. my lights still dim with the 4 farad

Get rid of the capacitor, upgrade the big 3 and install a high-output alternator.  Problem solved.Support the12volt.com

Does your radio have a loudness button?  

yea i have the loudness which i can set to high s mids or lows. soon after i got the capacitor i noticed that they are not worth S***. my lights still dim.

Read the sticky on capacitors. They will not solve a dimming light issue. Like what dyohn said, do the big 3 and if that does not solve your problem you need a higher output alternator.

Correct me if I am wrong. If his volume only goes to 30, then @25 he is past 3/4 of the way on the volume. Which would mean he is sending a clipped signal to his amp. Maybe I read his post wrong, but that is what I got from it.

Yes, it is possible the signal is clipping and that is what he's hearing.   Not all HUs clip at 3/4 volume, but it could be related to this issue.  I still suspect power problems, though.
