Pioneer Car TSA1682R 4-Way 6-1/2

Pioneer Car TSA6992R 5-Way 6 x 9

I have a set of each & wonder if it is worth my time to replace the stock speakers with them, this is a 2004 Sonata, I have a TMA 320.4 to run them,  and what should I set the high pass filter at if I do use them?

they are 10x better than your factory equipment. There are ALOT better speaker out there, just depends on what your trying to spend. You should check out the tuning sticky as not to start a new thread. Good luck with your setup, and let us know how everything turns out

anybody else got some input on these? right now I am running off the deck but the TMA amp should run these nicely, I am however curious about the 4 way and 5 way, I guess I could get rid of my crappy 1" stock tweeters now since these have them built in, or should I go with component type speakers,,,,,I am a little confused now

Don't be confused.  The advice was spot on.  Almost ANY replacement speakers will be better than stock speakers.  And as far as tweeters go, coaxial (or tri) have tweeters so you should replace all factory drivers (speakers).

I suggest you don't get too curious about 3-, 4-, or 5-way speakers.  If you are in a position sometime to upgrade to components from the lower cost coaxials, do so...but that is where auditioning for sound value is utterly important.  Right now you're upgrading and getting some of the basics out of the way.

Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.
