i have a 07 chevy cobalt ss (supercharged 2.0 engine) with the pioneer audio system, without onstar. Is there a special way to hook up an amp or is the installation just a basic one.

so you need adice on amp installation . you need to tap intot the aftermarket radios antenna wire or remote out. run a power wire from the battery to the amp and ground it 3 ft or less. make sure your fuse is within 18 inches of the battery

well ive done all that and the atermarket amp turns on but the sub wont play at all, i checked the hookup on it and everything but ive gotten some comments about haveing to bypass the factory sub, what is the deal with that?
