I've got a 2008 f-350 with a factory sub woofer. I want to put in a differnt amp and sub woofer, but don't want to run new wires. I would like to know the functions of the wires in the harness to the factory amp.

You will have to run power wire for your amp.  I do not remember the color of the wires.  The sub in that vehicle is unbelievable.  The amp is the weak link.  You really need to listen to that sub before you 86 it.  Change the amp and at least listen to it.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll try that first. Igot the wire functions figured out. Even though there is 3 12 volt power wires (2 constant and 1 remote switched power) you think I should run a power wire from the battery?

If you are using an amp that requires more than 15 amps of current, I would run a wire to the battery.
