I have a 2007 GMC Yukon Denali. I finish installing a subwoofer box kicker square, to my OEM radio. Sounds pretty loud but i get a popping noise from the subs when i take the key out. Ive try changing the remote wire location and same deal. I graved the rear passenger speaker for my hi-t0-low RCA. Any idea on how to make that stop popping? Ive try pluging in a noise filter same problem. Thanx for any help.

its an alternator pop... hook up a switch so you can manually control your amp turn on that will stop it but at a cost of being a complete pain in the ass

Thanx all for the info. I don't get any noise when the radio is off. Only thing is that it poops when the radio comes on. What I was thinking of doing is getting like a delay remote turn on to prevent it from happening. I got it order see if that help but I'll also gonna try lowering the gain down that could be it too. I'll keep u guys posted thanks for the help.

no problem. if you need longer delay just change the capacitor to larger ones until you get it where you want it.

not trying to out you or anything but looking from the diagram wouldn't this be a delay off not on. and another question, how much delay do you get for each cap value and does the resistance make a difference. im thinking about trying this on something im working on thanks

no, its a delay on. take a look at whats happening. the relay is energized and 30 and 87 are connected. there is nothing connected to 87. now, after the capacitor stores up charge the relay is deactivated and terminals 30 and 87a are now connected. the amp turn on is connected to term 87a which means after the delay, power is sent to the amp through term 87a via term 30. your confused about how the capicitor and resistor work. they work the opposite of what you are thinking. with this setup the relay is energized instantly and then deenergizes after a moment. you are thinking it delays the time it takes to energize the relay. it doesnt work that way. sorry. this setup gives you about a half second delay. larger value capacitor means more delay. dont change the value of the resistor.

The other issue I see is that he needs the sub amp to turn off BEFORE the rest of the system, so he needs a delay on the OEM radio, NOT the sub amp. The pop is the OEM deck turning off, transmitted through the RCAs to the sub amp which is staying on slightly longer than the signal.

With the delay provided, and placed in the remote lead of the sub amp, it will work perfectly, keeping the amp on even LONGER. Not what he needs. The easiest way I see to fix this is place a switch in the remote lead, and turn it off manually, before switching the car off.
