I have a small 400 watt amplifier, and I want to mount it behind the rear side panel of my 1991 Ford explorer. I was wondering if I need to add an external fan inside the panel as well to get better air circulation, or is it better not to install the amp in this location at all.

It's just work .... thats all. Mount it! It'll be fine without any fans.
