I have 2 Orion subs (new black series) and the 1500HCT Audiobahn amp.
Car: 2006 Dodge Charger SXT
Other Equipment: 800 Kinetic Battery, Isolator, and Pioneer Avic D2 navigation double din unit. Never had any issues in the 3 years I've owned this car like this.
Equipment was professionally installed.
I know most people here don't like audiobahn, but I've had my dual 1300 HCT's for years (6 years to be exact) without incident. I owned a 1500 HCT in another vehicle for 2 years with no incident (but it was stolen).
Now, with a new 1500HCT I have a problem.
At high volumes, it screws up 5% of the time.
At low volumes and songs with less bass, it screws up 50% of the time.
Basically, at lower volumes and higher bass it will cut out or "miss" notes. When cranked up and a louder bass song is played, the problem is very rare.

Assuming nothing else was changed from the system that was working well before, it sounds like the gain is set incorrectly or the amp is defective.

4 gauge was re-ran, what all should I double check?
Gains were always all the way up when I had those audiobahn amps back in the day..
