I have a Kenwood 9104D amp pushing 4 ID 12" at 2 ohms in an 08 Jeep Wrangler. I was having problems with the amp so I took it to the shop and they said that the amp couldn't actually run more then 1 speaker at 2 ohms. Now I am not genius but I am pretty sure that 2 ohms is 2 ohms whether it be 1 sub or 1000 subs. If I am wrong please let me know.

lol at shop.
You're correct as long as your wiring is correct. if you have 4 SVC subs you can do it at 1 ohm or 4 ohms. Which, if you had connected all the leads together it would give you 1 ohm. Which the amp is not stable at.
Check your resistance going to the speaker input on the amp, disconnected from it of course.

What is the problem?  It will run more than one sub.
