I am currently in the process of upgrading my electrical system (Big 3) in my 2005 accord and I am having trouble with the alternator to battery upgrade.  My Alternator wire goes to my fuse box under the hood then out the fuse box to the battery.  I cannot add on top nor replace unless I cut apart my fuse box due to the way the connections are made. My question is, can I not just add wire from the Alternator straight to the battery since the wire ends up there anyway? Thanks.
