I was running a set of Memphis PRO component 6.5's to a Memphis Amp 55x2 and Pioneer P4000DVD headunit.  I noticed SLIGHT alternator noise but nothing too bad or distracting.  I had the local audio shop here that does a good job finish my install with a JL Audio 500/1 Amp, re-do the wiring to 4 gauge (it was 8) and hook up the Kicker L7 in the kicker ported box.

Long story short the feedback/noise is terrible now.  Where it was only when the car was revving, the whine/buzz is LOUDER NOW and mostly at idle.  To make matters worse the sub rumbles a little bit when the car's rpm's move.  Shutting the door emits a 1-2 second buzz in the door speakers that will go away.  What is up with this?  The car audio shop said the headunit was to blame and is common with Pioneer and they could try and honor my 1 yr warranty.  The system is not enjoyable to listen to with this constant buzz/whine noise.  The only time I cant hear it is when I have the stereo blasting.

Can anyone help me attempt to fix this over the weekend before I can get it back to the shop on Tuesday??  Thank you.

And yes the shop was right, this is a Pioneer problem.  The following link is a search result from this site, a search for Pioneer noise yields 382 results.

Nope, the problem is your radio.   An RCA cable is a shielded cable.  Running it close to the power wire from a DC power source (with only millivolts of AC ripple riding on it) will not inject noise into your system.

Alright...thanks.  I hope it is replaceable under warranty from the shop I bought it at.  They are an authorized dealer.
