I have a 95 ford explorer that I am tryin to put in an aftermarket head unit. I have instaled the aftermarker harness to the oem harness and hooked up the new sony HU, and all that happens is the HU comes on but no sound will come out of speakers. I was told that there is a mute wire hooked onto the speaker somewhere, and that it needed to be hooked to a 12 power source. I have no idea which wire this would be. To my knowledge this vehicle doesnt come with and special sound system factory, all it had was an owm HU with radio and tape deck!

Basicaly any good reason why the sound will not play out of the HU guys?

You need to hook up the blue/white stripe wire from your deck to the blue wire in the vehicle harness. That is the factory amp turn on.
