Right now I have two 12" jl audio 250 watt 4 ohm subs, I'm thinking about getting two more of these woofers right now, or waiting a coupole of years and getting 2 18" ascendant audio havocs, what does anyone think of either of these choices?

Sure, why not?
If you have enough space to run 18s and power to backem'
I would have to leave my back seat out to put 2 18s. More power to ya!

Instead of the AA Havocs why not get the AA SMDs? What amp(s) are you using and what power upgrades do you have?
You only dont know what you don't ask about

Yeah cause paying extra for Steve Meades signature makes it a good woofer? No thanks, not for me. There are better for the money out there. Unless he is using over 5K rms there is no need to switch to the SMDs.

I'm happy for now with that amp pushing a single sub. They arn't too popular around here and I'm sure for valid reasons but for now it's good enough for me.

Yes, for sure update the Big3 you will notice the difference and be set for any future power upgrades. That's one of the first things I did. I installed a H/O alty a few weeks ago and just need to upgrade my main battery next. Was entertaining the idea of running twin 1100.1s to my sub but not sure yet, open to suggestions at this point. I have a few people wanting to buy my Bxi.
