We are installing an Alpine cda-7837 into our 1984 VW Vanagon. I have purchased an AI.net cable that plugs into the back of the receiver and connects to a cable that goes to my ipod.
When I switch the source button it goes between the radio and what i believe is the cd player ( I get a T on the face, like it wants to tell me what track)
The only way I can get my ipod to play is by having it on an AM frequency, and then it only plays in the rear speakers.
Can anyone give me some tips as to what the trouble might be?
I have the owner's manual but it doesn't really address this.
thanks in advance,
Susie

There should be a setting on the Alpine deck that you have to toggle to the ON position from OFF that allows you to use the Ai-Net cable as an AUX input.
