I want to go with a single 15", out of these choices what would be the top 2 choices,

I know that CV was good back in the day, but I don"t know anymore:

Cerwin Vega V-Max154

15" 1000W Dual 4-Ohm V-Max Series Component Car Subwoofer Driver (VMax154)

Cerwin Vega Veg4-152

15" 400W Dual 2-Ohm VEGA Series Component Car Subwoofer Driver

Kicker 05S15L5-4

15" 1500W Dual 4-ohm Square Subwoofer

15" 1000W Dual 2-Ohm Subwoofer

Diamond Audio D315D2.2

15" 1000W Dual 2-Ohm Subwoofer

Possibly going to run it with this

Diamond Audio D3 600.1

600 Watt Monoblock Amplifier

If this was my choice and I had to choose from the list provided I would go with the Kicker because it has the dual 4-Ohm coils. Then again, you might be hooking this up to an that is 1-Ohm stable. I say go and give them all a listen and then decide from there.

also, if I go with the Kicker the closest box specifications I found was for the L3 at

MIN SEALED BOX VOL [cu. ft, L]:	1.8
MAX SEALED BOX VOL [cu. ft, L]:	5.2
MIN VENTED BOX VOL [cu. ft, L]:	3
MAX VENTED BOX VOL [cu. ft, L]:	5

what do you suggest , proted or sealed? and where in the size ranfe of the box? I have room for any of the above sizes

for a single 15 that I want to get ad much as possible from, I will be downfiring this and will also be running 2-10's in a sealed box for better punch

OK, does anyone have an opinion?

Cerwin Vega,,,,,do they compare in quality closer to: KICKER - INFINITY REFERENCE - or stuff like Lanzar and Directed Audio?

also: Any ideas where I can get a higher output alternator than 75 amp for a 1993 Hyundai Excel? <you wouldn't laugh if you saw and heard it>

i think id still laugh...

the vega subs and amps are all really nice. the vmax subs are better build quality than kicker imo but i dont think you can get the same output as a L7 but they do sound a whole lot better. vega amps are some real beasts and very clean considering their power capabilities but they come with a horrible price tag.
