I recently purchased some PPI 2 way coaxials with CO's. My door component woofers are old and bought these to replace. I have another option I will submit later but 1st this question. The woofers I am replacing are from a set of comps. Want to replace the woofers and was thinking of using the 2 way PPi coas with Co's.My question is 2 fold. Will I be able to use the existing CO's and use the existing tweeters from the original comps in the outboard tweeter locations with a diff brand speaker aka the PPI coax? What will this do to the inboard tweeter in the new speakers? Will they even function at all? So would be easiest to not use new CO's and use old CO's with old tweeters and will that work? Only reason I am contemplating this is I got these 90$ speakers for 30$ new in box. If this will not work I have a set of 5.25 Cadence woofers with 3" vc I can use instead if I have to. Was hoping to use the Cadence woofers in some pods but if the PPI coax won't work I am covered by these woofers. Suggestions, thoughts, advice, yes and no's all welcomed here!! Thank You very much y'all!!

You are likely OK using the existing crossovers as long as they are the ones designed to work with your tweeters. This is generally more critical for tweeters than it is for woofers.

Thank you, that is really the most important part to me as well. I will know for sure when I install but would you think the tweeters on the new PPI coax's will work or not. They really cannot without using the CO's that come with them can they? IDC if the tweets work as long as woofers work. Thanks again, I ask some weird questions sometimes. Would have gotten something diff but price was too good. And also like I said I have a set of cadence 5.25 woofers that get to 40hz so I fig more like daily 55hz or so and have 3" voice coils. Why so big for 125 watt rms speakers I don't know??
