Alright I've done a couple single din radios in older chevy trucks but never a double din or a new car like this so I have a few questions. I bought the head unit as an open box unit at Best buy so im missing a few things that it would've normally come with. So here goes...
What I have:
1. 2013 jetta tdi with fender sound
2. Pioneer avic x850bt
3. Main wire harness on head unit (harness on right in included pic)
What I plan on getting:
1. Metra 95-9011b dash kit http://m./itm/141160112019?nav=SEARCH
2.pioneer cpm 1083 bt mic http://m./itm/171308031159?nav=WATCHING_ACTIVE
3. Pioneer cxe 3204 gps antenna http://m./itm/151297284161?nav=WATCHING_ACTIVE
4. Pac rp4-vw11 http://m./itm/390679005681?nav=WATCHING_ACTIVE
Questions:
1. Is the metra all I need for mounting (besides screws) or is there additional bracketry?
2. Is there a better mic that is compatible ot is this one sufficient?
3. When mounting the gps antenna does it need to be exposed or can I hide it under the dash? If exposed, where is a good place? Any specific orientation?
4. For anyone that has used this pac unit, do I need a separate antenna adapter or is this all inclusive? Maybe something that was supposed to come in the box that im missing?
5. In the picture below, I know I don't have the harness on the left, does anyone have a part number or name for it so i can get one?
6. Anything I'm missing from my shopping list?

If you mean the harness to the right in the photo then that means you have the audio visual rca harness NOT the main harness. Check ebay or contact the seller to see if they can help out.

The GPS antenna can be mounted at the base of the windshield on top of the dash. As long as it has a clear line of sight to the sky. Since GPS uses multiple sats at any given time mounting it inside the car is acceptable. Usually sat radio antennas do not like this location and have to be moved to the outside of the car.

Very good, thank you! I can probably pick up that harness at a local car audio place.
Assuming the antenna chord is long enough would there be any issue mounting the gps antenna above the rear view mirror on the windshield?
