So I purchased a 2015 Genesis Sedan Ultimate about 2 years ago. I do have the premium 17 speaker surround system with plenty of highs, decent mids and horrible lows. Everyone in the forum complains about the lack of low end. Prior to the Genesis I owned a 2008 Altima and I did a complete system upgrade. I took the sub out before I traded the car in.
I'm looking to re use the sub that has been sitting in my closet for the past 2 years. It is a 12" RE SEX12D2 that I'm going to build a custom fiberglass box on the passenger wheel indent area and then I was thinking about buying a RE Audio SA 1000.1 and wire it down to 1 ohm. The amp will be an over kill but I will just have it turned down really low.
The best thing about everything is that everything I need to get it hooked up is in the trunk.
My only question is, should I use the Hi-Line inputs built in to the amp or should I just get a AudioControl LC2i converter?
