Well those amps would be doing the Diamonds some justice but overpowering the JL's unless you went with a 4 ohm configuration which seems like a waste of a good amp to me. The Diamonds are rude, very rude, quite expensive, but will serve you justice. Plus they are not something that everyone else will have so thats a plus.  Ive only heard them once, pair of 10's in a vented enclosure but they were way underpowered, only had 1200 watts going to the two combined( they are rated for 1500rms each) but none the less they kicked butt and sounded good as well. I say go for the Diamonds. I run the CM3 series and they are some mean ones as well. Havent got to hear the M6's yet.

Oops, just noticed you said a 4 sub system, with just 2000 watts at 2 ohms i wouldn't use the TDX's, be too underpowered, 4 of those JL's would be perfect in that case, sorry bout that. Course may want to take a listen to the Diamond M6's just to compare to the JL's. They are 800rms and have titanium magnesium cones. Or for another maybe the Eclipse Aluminum or Titaniums series.

Never heard the storm series, but we've always had tons of problems with all the bolt products (amps and subs).   But I think you can tell from both the price and the pictures that the storm series are a completely different sub.

Anyways, both JL and Diamond are very good but if I had to choose from one of them I'd go with the JLs.  You'd certainly be pushing the W6s to near their power handling limits, but I think they'd be fine.

Ya, they use it in there promotion car..which is a sweet car...nowhere near as nice as the alpine civic..

i like JL's stuff. high quality.  you concider the W7? dunno if you have made or had a box for 4..but i think a couple of the 12" W7's would be a sweet setup.  course, your wallet would be alot lighter too.

Power acoustiks MOFO 12" is a nice lookin sub, i havent heard it, but looks solid.

its the first one on the page.

Then you can do the rockford power HX2 12"  or HX2 12"  that would hit really good.

I need quality equipment, feel free to donate.

go with the TDXs actually...the X1001 is very conservative and will give you enough power to make the TDXs move...and if, in the future, you were to think about serious competition, you could just add amps...
I know of a certain dealer around who hit 154.9 with a single TDX15...he didnt realize he had the subsonic filter set to 50Hz either...
the subs can get quite loud, yet sound amazing...you also dont need 2000w RMS to drive the subs, that is their peak handling (although that figure is quite conservative IMO), and not their minimum requirements...even 500w per will make them move, and the X1001 does more than double that so you would be good to go...you will not be let down by these subs...

I would personally go with the tdx's. I agree with Big Purds about not needing 2000 watts. If you had that much it would be great, but not needed. I don't know where you are going to be buying your subs, but www.onlinecarstereo.com has gret prices on the Diamond Audio subs and not just the TDX series. I think they have the 12" TDX for $369.99 with free shipping. That's alot better than the $600 retail price. I am running 2 TDX 15's with a Kicker 1200.1 on each on and they are just plain sick. Just so you know I found the amps for $426 a piece shipped to my house at www.hookedontronics.com peace....
