I bought a Foxbody Mustang with this unit, Pioneer DEH-6300UB,installed and never used the radio because I stripped the interior and then reinstalled the stereo. I downloaded wire diagram and reconnected everything I/A/W the schematic however the detachable face plate does not work except you can hear the music but the sound will not change with the knob nor can you see the numbering or letters. is there a reset button or other procedure?

Maybe try taking the faceplate on and off a bunch of times as sometimes the connections between the main chassis and the faceplate are not 100% and screwy things happen. By taking the face on and off a bunch of times the rubbing of connections help to make better connections and knock off corrosion.
