Don't compromise your investment, it is better to sacrifice, if the Quarts are a little more than you can afford right now, save up some more money and buy the right speakers the first time, otherwise you will be spending twice as much money down the road to buy what you should have in the first place. There are lots of good speakers on the market today, I think that you have made a good choice with MB Quart.
Top Secret, I can tell you but then my wife will kill me.

For years I have been purchasing all of my MB Quart equipment from this guy http://www.stores.ebay.com/id=15268997&ssPageName=L2 His name is Ravi (949)254-7200 he has a large warehouse and is local for me, He is not an authorized dealer, but he dose honor the warrantee without any problems and has some excellent prices. But I would save your money and buy the QM218.61Q (in my opinion they are the best value in the high end line) http:///.com/dll?ViewItem&item=3063878502&category=32819 you can get them from the guy above for about $330 they are more money then you want to spend but look at them as a long term investment.

Well, if you'd like MB Quart, check out eBay.  You won't get into the Q series for under $200, but take a look at the PCE 216 for $270, the RCE 216 for $164, or the DSE 216 for $125.

Keep in mind that when you buy MB Quart on eBay, they may be discontinued models, and you won't get the warranty from MB Quart.  Some online retailers will match MB Quart's warranty, though.  I've never had a problem, though.  I'm actually looking at a pair of their QM 218.61 6.5" components.  It's an old model that's been replaced by the QSD 216, but that means that you can get the QM218.61s for $329 now.  I'd feel pretty good paying $329 for what was MB Quart's top-of-the-line two=way component speaker set up until a year or so ago.

Now, about running them off of the head unit's built-in amp...  I would try not to do that any longer than you absolutely have to.  The passive crossovers in component sets consume power, and 6 1/2" speakers really want more than just a few watts anyway.  You're not likely to damage them, but you certainly won't be using them to their best advantage.

kool kool... i want to have mb quart all around, i believe i have currently a old set of Q series 12 subs in my accord currently. So q series would be the only way :D   Im all SQ, the subs are low power too, only 150watts rms.

I'll be saving up, just on the look out.  Next question. would mb's drop into the stock locations easy?

Also want do i do with the HU? just cap off the front speaker wires, how do i setu, the timing and what not.

Also i was thinkin about replacing the 6x9's in the back with 6.5 components, all around the same model and make.

So i'll need a desent 4 channel.  Right now i have a kenwood 600watt for the subs. wouldnt mind keeping the theme going. its black and silver...  a kenwood 4 channel amp arent all bad are they? ill be in no contests, just pleasure.

This is pre-planning, i have $0 saved, i just want to find out stuff and get up in the ballpark for it all.

I need quality equipment, feel free to donate.
