Alright well heres the layout, I have ordered a JBL BP1200.1 amp and oh boy am i anxious for this beasts power, anyways, it will be kickin 2- Kicker Solo-Baric 10" L7's rated at 600RMS a piece which will be perfect, they are dual 4-ohm so i will be wring them in paralell to get a 2-ohm load. My question is the JBL wired in paralell internally as in I will just hook up each amp to a channel and the amp will see a 1 ohm load or am I going about this the wrong way?

higgins, You might want to watch you input level. Blows up 2 L7 12s all day long with enough juice. LOL, Went through 3 sets of L7 12, before i finally switch to 15s. good luck on the amp.

if those things are blowing like that theyre bad quality. buy something that can handle it. sometimes its better to just use what is a little less popular but has the stats to back it up. too many people are obsessed with the name brand crap like fosgate, jl, kicker, eclipse, etc. try some boston acoustics, memphis, mb quart, or orion.

Now while I would have to agree with that statement about RF products to say that JL Audio is crap is freaking ridiculous, I personally have used Memphis and while they make great products they in no way compete with JL Audio. Before my current system I had a memphis 1100D pushing two Memphis HPO's in a sealed enclosure running @1ohm and a set of studio line series 6.5" compenents being run off of a Memphis 300/2 and while the system sounded really good it could not hold a candle to my JL setup now. I have great respect for Memphis don't  get me wrong but for the money JL has better features and SQ in my opinion.

but it looks like a 2 channel amp...and it does have two sets of speaker terminals which IS PROVIDED FOR CONVENIENCE...convenience so that you don't have to run all you're +'s and -'s to a singel set of speaker terminals.

higgins, you are correct.  you can wire each speaker to it's own speaker terminals on the amp.  this is how I run the JBL to my pair of Audiobahn ALUM12.

also, there is a method for setting the gain with a multimeter that you may wanna give some thought to.  i just found it out and found out that my gain setting "by ear" sucked...i had the amp putting out like 70+ Volts AC when it only needed to be putting out 43.4V AC.

here's the discussion on gain setting:  http://forum.sounddomain.com/forum/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=2;t=030419

i warn you to be mindful of the gains b/c that JBL pulls ALOT of battery current...and i don't want it going into protect on you b/c you have the gains cranked to high...i have an HXD10 Clarion (4V RCA voltage) going to an AudioControl 3XS (which has 2V/5V indicators) and i'm only lighting up the 2V indicator on my 3XS...yet, the gain is barely--I MEAN barely up...not even 1/8th of the way!JBL BP1200.1 Amp -- posted image.
