Steering wheel radio controls?

Hi,

I have a friend who owns a '96 Pontiac Grand Prix.  His car came factory with those wired radio remote controls on the steering wheel.  He wants to put in a CD Player, but keep the controls on the steering wheel.  I've never ran up against anything like this.  Does anybody here know what I'm talking about?  Does somebody make a wiring harness adaptor for these things, or what?  How can we go about hooking this thing up?  Thanks in advance,

There are several steering wheel interface adapters.  Try this link first and see if it will wqork with your Grand Prix.

Here is the same product I think, but you can buy it off of Crutchfield. They also sell cd players, speakers, subs, amps, etc. They have excellent instructions on how to install the products you buy in your car or truck(taking off the door panels and or dash, or anything else).

the part you'll need is a SWI-X, a PAC-interface. it will only work if the radio you are installing comes with a remote control.

oh yeah, grab some Advils/Tylenols and some patience....you're gonna need them. LOL.
