I'm looking at buying an Accord, but I've also got some big plans for the stereo.  I've seen the console and it looks like a serious headache to put in an aftermarket HU.  Does anyone have any experience installing in the 04 accord?  Trunk size is also a concern: I'm transferring 5 (maybe 6) amps, 2-12's, 2-10's, caps, and e-crossovers.  Somehow I've got to figure out a way to get this crap in the trunk and still have some room in the trunk.  I also need to cut into the rear side panels and make kick panels in the front.  At any rate, I was hoping you could give me a heads-up or advice if this is going to give me an ulcer.

I see what you mean... I checked the web for the '04 metra kit and noticed that an aftermarket HU is supposed to go under the climate controls, just like my sunbird gt.  And it simplifies things a bit since the dual-zone climate control is tied in with the factory HU.  As for the trunk, yes I've got my work cut out for me!!

Somehow I managed to get everything in my 'bird, but I don't have a trunk left.  I was hoping to keep it this time, but it seems that I'll have to make an amp-rack in the middle.

So I've looked at the metra kit, and I've read some reviews on it.  It seems that there's some discrepency on the fit.  Anyone here know for sure?
