don't know if anyone else out there does this, but I usually spray my hats with some Rockford Fosgate noise killer (or any comparable spray) inside and out before installing them (let it dry before putting in the speaker, lol). It yeilds results similar to making a dynomat "cup" around the speaker. Just wanted to share that.

They are actually called baffles, but people refer to them as "hats" since they sort of look like a hat.

How about when spray gluing the trunkliner to a box, accidentaly going right up the guys really hairy arm. Or sneaking up on him when he is buried in the trunk with the air hose. What about gassing him when he is in the back seat and closing the doors on him. Maybe sneak up oh him with the milk carton and stomping it right when his head is under the dash. The good old fake shock works every time when you have a customer watching as you work on the battery terminal. I've got a ton of them....

LOL, like your persona on things, wish I was there in Canada, I would have fun working around that environment, the guy i work for is pretty cool, but a perfectionist, so the horseplay is a no no, and when we get caught, Its an a$$ chewing, We can't "concentrate and perform a quality job" with horseplay???But my favorite response is it makes the day go by faster in which it does, but I think it gets him worked up!!

You always must be safe in a shop first and foremost, but stick in the mud attitudes does nothing for the morale of the shop or the usually highly stressed installer. Sounds more like the manager can't concentrate rather than you. Nonetheless he is the boss and always be respectful of that. Now here is the best one ever. Take a screw, say a drywall screw and cut it in half. Discard the end with the head on it. Keep the nice sharp pointy tip end. Clear this with the boss if you must and don't do it on a super busy day. Make sure that everyone knows about it. The next time your favorite stressed out installer is mounting a door speaker, take that little screw end and a small dab of hot glue and glue it to the outside of the door down where the speaker mounts. Let the glue dry. Have another installer come by and say oh my god dude, you put a screw through the door. This aslo works exceptional with overhead dvd screens, put the screw on the roof.
