Hello,

    I have one powered RS8A (150 Watts RMS) tube and one non-powered EL8 (150 watts RMS handling) tube....  i was told you can hook up a non-powered to a powered sub and double the output (150x2).... i was wondering how exactly do you wire that?  (i.e. how do i hook up the speaker cabling?)

i have all mounting brackets, etc.... just the wiring part holding me up.

thanks!

ive never heard of this being done, but the powered tube has an internal amp(imbeded in tube) and unless you want to tamper with delicat seals and groments then you can open it up and tap into the wire that runs to the sub. but by doing this your going to cut the power to each sub in half to youll end up with 2x75 and the possibilty of ruing your powered bazooka. the best way to go is buy a amp to power the other sub.

You may want to call bazooka.  I have heard what you are trying to do can be done.  You might want to call bazooka and ask them how to connect the subs.  They might have an adapter that you can use.

< language=> directly from SAS:

RSA Optional High-Level Output

The Amplified Bazooka has provisions for high level output to a second Bass Tube. If you want to use this feature, you can purchase a Bazooka slave unit from an authorized SAS dealer.

Be sure to use a slave unit that is the same size as you amplified unit. This is necessary because different size woofers have different efficiencies. These efficiency differences result in the two woofers playing at different volume levels, making it difficult to adjust the system to the desired sonic quality.

Located the BROWN and YELLOW wires on the 14-pin Molex plug, connect the BROWN wire to the RED terminal of the slave unit, and the YELLOW wire to the BLACK terminal of the slave unit.

The Amplified Bazooka RS8A is now operating under a 2 ohm load and is delivering a total of 300 watts
