I used to have a 15" Brahma powered by a JBL 1200.1 untill someone swiped it.  I am looking at either getting another Brahma 15, or 2 12's instead.  (Any comments welcome, this is going to be a SQ setup).

My problem at this point is, I am not sure of what amps I will be using to power either setup.  I want something with high end sound, and (correct me if I am wrong) but the JBL 1200.1 is not known for its SQ.  I have looked at many amps such as Phoenix Gold and PPI, and have found some possibilites, but I just wanted to get your guys input on everything.

Also, if you guys know of any drivers that can produce better SQ then the Brahma (No JL), please let me know.

I appreciate your help,

-Evan

Cadence...

the Z7000 is an AB amp, 1500 watts@1 ohm. For all it's umph it is quite efficient. However, if you want a bit less power, the Z9000 would be a killer choice.
Here is the new Z line of amps. I sent this guy to USA car audio for his and he sent the new pics of it, and I will copy his quick review...

Review:
Well I finally hooked up my z9000 for a couple minutes just for sh*ts and giggles. It ain't permanently hooked up because I have to make a new box for my sub and a new amp rack cuz it's too damn big. When running at the same volume as my old pioneer the cadence definately has more low end to it. The mids have much more authority than they did with the pioneer. Keep in mine I do have the gains turned way down to match output of the pioneer. And the volume isn't anywhere near all the way up. I decided to juice the gain and put a little power into the kappas, I just turned it up by ear, with the volume nob on 50 out of 62. I turned it up until the kappas were screaming for mercy, and the amp just basically laughed. She had tons more juice to go but the comps. just couldn't take anymore. They were under alot of stress.
I don't know if I wanna hook the amp up though, it's so purrtty. Seth I'm sure you have seen the new cadence amps, I think they look kick ass. They definately don't look like the ones on their website. I almost sh*t myself when I opened up the box and seen this thing. I was expecting it to look like the ones on the website. Now I just have to get off my lazy ass and make a new box and modify my amp rack to fit it. Damn it.

Hope that helps!!!

If you have the money, TRU amps are THE best.  Eclipse, Diamond audio to name a few.  I think its ARC audio, they are supposed to be really good.

I need quality equipment, feel free to donate.

I know a couple people who would disagree with Tru being THE best. I have a good friend who switched from his Tru back to PG. He felt like I did... the Tru amps seem to overly accentuate midrange, and made subbass lifeless.
Don't get me wrong, they are very nice amps, and in my top 5 on the poll, but IMHO better can be had for less.
