I have a power acoustik 2 channel amp that is hooked up to 2 orion subs.I bought the amp used a few months ago and it was working fine up untill today. The amp isnt putting any sound to the subs and the power/protect light is blinking from green to yellow to red. If I flip the switch to HPF it runs fine, but on LPF and Full the light goes red. I checked all the wires and im pretty sure they are good. Is something wrong with my amp, or is one of my subs wired wrong?? I just put the subs in, but they where working earlier in the day, as was the amp. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

disconnect the subs and see what happens, then connect each one seperate (assuming the protect doesn't come on)

Can the amp go to 2 ohms mono though? Most amps that are 2 channel list a 2 ohm stereo operation, this is a way far cry from 2 ohm mono. How have you wired the subs to the amp, do exactly what was recommended by achemedes and post the results.
Top Secret, I can tell you but then my wife will kill me.

Ok I hooked up only one sub. It works slightly better, now it moves the sub about half the time, the light blinks from green to red. I bought this amp used and I only know what it says on it, which is "2 Ohm stable". For the last 2 weeks I have been running 1 orion and 1 memphis (loan from store). The memphis had identical specs to the orion, they worked fine.

damn... tough room, defective... ouch! LOL
It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

As for the amp, it seems to be working fine all of a sudden. This is the second tine its acted up like this, any idea what the problem might be?? I plan on getting a new amp, as soon as I can get some money.
