Use amp or HU to power rear fill?

Right now my rear fill is some old Audio Arts 5.25 coax’s running off the rear speaker outs of the deck and set very low so they are barely audible.

I’ve got an older Kenwood 20 watts X 2 amp that I ran tweets with on a system a long time ago.  I was wondering if I should run the rear fill off the amp instead of the deck?  Since the volume level of the rears is kept so low I’m wondering if using the amp will be of any benefit?  I use part of the 3-way Xover for my sub xover point and level control, but I’m using the built in xover on my Alpine for the front BA components, so I could use the Xover to cross over the 5.25’s upper and lower frequencies wherever needed.

Does anyone have any comments or opinions on what I should do?

Rear fill is already on HU, seems fine.  I do not want the rear fill loud at all; I do not want it to take away from the front stage, just want it barely there.

If I use an amp it will be the 20 X2 I already have, the point is to use my existing equipment, not purchase more.

keep the HU bass down, and raise the gain a little on the sub amp,,
