Any of those paired with a good amplifier will give you good SQ and yes, get loud.  Go out and listen to them and buy the ones you like the most.

i heard some alpines the other day, 10's i think, and now this comparison isnt equal by any means,
Earlier i heard some ultimate subs, hooked to a Pioneer deck (one of there higher DEH models) and a pioneer amp i believe, and it had solid bass, i wasnt let down, but the guy showin me was having fun with the eq to give it a little more oooomph ;p
minutes later he showed me an alpine deck, runnin some 10's as well, and it could have been the EQ, but my only thoughts were the bass was a little more flat. i thought it sounded more 'acousticy' /me shrugs
going back to buy an amp, i dont think i would look at the alpines again. or i may ask for a re-test with no settings on the decks.

Throw in believe it or not, the basic Lightning Audio strike subs into this vote as well as the MB Quart subs. These subs have pleasantly surprised me over the years. We actually did 4 of the Strike subs in a small sealed box in a 77 Chev PU and they absolutely laid waste while sounding really really good.

Dat's the one...... a 1.25 cuft. slot loaded enclosure. Port that baby 6" long, 1" wide and 6" deep. This enclosure with this sub absolutely amazed me. For us Quart has a 3 year warranty as well, so it is a great investment for the customer and peace of mind for us. It is a fairly bland looking sub but is is sure a solid performer.
