need help installing a head unit in my 98 audi a6 quattro with the bose system, when i connect the wiring harness the unit turns on but i only hear sound from wat appears to be a tweeter, the wiring harness cables are : two cables for each speaker and ground, power, etc, etc. but on a second piece of harness it has another ground and a positive for a speaker there are four of those, in other words three speaker cables for each speaker, the told me i ould have to bypass the internal amp or something like that, or can some one tell me wat to do... HELP PLEASE!!!

i'm not too familier with that particular bose system... but, i know a lot of bose systems use 1ohm drivers meaning you'd have to replace the speakers with your headunit.  to bypass the amp you can run new speaker wire to your speakers or find your amp and locate the output and bypass the amp.

you will have to run wires from the speaker out's on your radio to the amp outputs for each speaker or just run wires to each speaker from the radio. but if your speakers are 1 ohm then you wont be able to power them with the head unit.   you will cook it

use a multi meter to measure resistance.  You can use a premium sound integration piece also if you do not want to replace all the speakers and run new wires
