Acousticaly Tuned?

When you say acoustically tuned, are you refering to your system being tuned correctly or you car behind turned into a concert hall ?

So the New GMC Envoy has Dampening material all over the car? and alot more speakers then standard cars?

You'll need access to an anechoic chamber, rollers for your driven wheels so you can simulate running at highway speed, a wind tunnel, several calibrated pink noise sources, several channels of RTA and calibrated microphones, several strain gages and vibrational/velocity transducers, a good oxy-acetylene torch and a better tig welder, sheet metal, access to a variety of different interior treatment materials like fabrics, carpets, seat covers, etc., lots of sound dampening materials, better seals and gaskets for all windows, and lots of time and patience.  It might also help if you had access to an acoustical engineer.  Then, after you solve all the issues with the vehicle's construction, you can begin to choose your sound system components.

I think I know where your going with this lolzitsmtss.........Does this have anything to do with the GMC commercial on TV? Where they ask if a concert hall can be accousticly tuned , then why cant your truck? If a 60,000 seat stadium can have a retractable roof , then why cant your truck? If an offraod Baja 1000 racer can have 4 wheel active suspension , then why cant your truck?

Yeah rushman..exactly. Saw the commericial and thought..How the hell can they do that?

P.S Dyohn..whats the best sound deadning material that you would say is the best....according to your preference?

Dynamat, Brown Bread, Dayton, Gator Skin, generic no-name... In my experience it all functions pretty much the same as long as you take the time to remove the car's interior treatments and properly install it.  I say use what's available the cheapest in your area.  Actually you can use just about anything that will reduce structural resonance.  I've seen good results using standard home carpet pad, wool blankets, foam rubber, roofing tar....
