Hey everyone,

I am trying to design this trunc. edged prism box..All the measurements seem right, but the tuning freq. seems to be way off.. I am using this program "bassbox pro 6". I want one square port to be in front 4"HvX12"Wv..

The calculator in this program says my port Length should be nearly 100"s long!!!! In order to make the frequecy 28Hz

There is no possibly way for that to happen!

The box is only gonna be in 1.5 cu. ft

thanks.

4 X 12 is a big opening, esp. in relationship to the small 1.5 ft enclosure.  Suggest you use a vent calculator found here and get the port opening to a smaller size.  The length will shrink with it.

Im done constructing, the port will be 3"x3"x18.92". which will give me my "magic" tuning freq.
