Ok, I'm going freaking nuts trying to figure out how to run the power lead from my battery through the firewall on my 2003 Explorer. I've been told that where the parking brake cable runs through would be a good place, but it is difficult to get through from both inside and outside the vehicle. Everything in the engine compartment is so crammed in there that I can't see a good place to run it. Does anyone have any ideas because I am becoming frustrated. Thanks!

I would consider what side your battery is on, in conjunction to where you are going to run your rca's. After deciding this, drill a hole, use a rubber gromet, and snake the your power cable through the hole while taped to a white plastic track found in antennas. coat hangers are a good last resort for pulling cable through, remember to tape it up well.

if I remember right there is a second gromet right below the gromet for the steering collum.
