Hi all. I need just ur everyday run of the mill dimensions for a slotted 12" subwoofer box. I'm going to put a RFP3812 in it just for experimentation with porting (I'm a FG/sealed box guy and I am in the process of figuring out porting) and push it with either a 400 watt mono or a 200 watt bridged 2 channel amp. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

rule of thumb i use is to have 7.5 in2 for 35hz; 11.25 in2 for 40 hz; 15in2 for 45 hz of port area per ft3 of net box size.  ports 13 inches long

ie:

4 ft3 box would have a port 45 in2 x 13inches long to be tuned at 40 hz

this is ballpark, hope it helps
