I say, for the heck of it, look for a 1 ohm stable amp.  Hifonics has some nice ones...

The class D would be easier on your electrical system because they are more effecient than a regular class AB amp. I wouldn't limit yourself on just class D amps though. It's probobly not going to be easy to find an amp that outputs around 800 watts continuous at 1 ohm. You might have to buy a high powered 2 channel instead.

I got the brutus BX 1500 D I have my speakers 4 ohm dual vc's the amps rated at 1500 rms probably @ 14.4 volts is this too much to run cause if I wired subs to 8 ohm output of the amp is now 500rms also would I bee in need of an upgraded alternator I did the big 3 added a cap and have an optima red top my stock alt is 136 but I could buy at autozone a 160 amp for 200. I know class d's are efficient but 1500 rms is still alot of load on my electrical system. HELP  Im over my head again in car audio! Oh rms for my subs again are 400 each so 800 total. Thanks for the help fellaz!
