Ok well I am going to buy a HO alternator and i am finding that the cheapest solution is from ebay. I have a 150amp alternator now and i am looking to upgrade to a 240amp alternator or above. I have seen Iraggi Alternators and a few from Alterstart. Does anyone have any experence with the Iraggi's or Alterstart? Thanks for the input........

From the research I have done, I would only get a HO alternator from Dominik Iraggi....

I have bought one from MrAlternator. I have not gotten it tested yet, but it did come as expected and installed fine. (It charges the batery but I am not sure of the amperage)

ebay alternators? Sounds risky. I don't mind buying an amplifier or something off ebay, but when the product is something that could seriously mess up your car, I'm going to be a tad more cautious.
i.e. I want someone to sue that will have adequate insurance if something goes horribly wrong.

A lot of legitimate businesses link to Ebay for a wider window of sales opportunities...nothing wrong with that.  When it comes to the mechanics of your automobile - especially with an alternator which is the heart of your sound system and the car itself - make sure that any alternator listed on Ebay also contains a link to the actual business that builds it, with street address and phone number.  Talk to a mechanic and verify its use for your application before placing a bid!  One question to ask:  "What's the output at idle?"
Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

I can say from experience, leave Alterstart out. They are not good people to deal with if you have problems. I have never been a fan of ebay for anything. I have only heard good things about Iraggi's alternators. I have an Alterstart alternator on my car now. When it goes out I will be dealing with Iraggi myself.

I have an Iraggi in my G/F's car. It's been like 6 months, and no problems at all. Great prices too. The next one in my Jeep will be Iraggi.

I have a 180A @ 2k RPM (100a @ idle) Irragi Alt in my Accord. Dominik is a GREAT person to deal with and his prices are VERY competitive. When he built mine, he also sent me the housing early so that I could have it anodized. I have been using it since November with no problems. I belive you can get a hold of him at Dominik@tds.net but check the electrical explanation forum at sounddomain.com if that dosent work. there is a sticky "official HO Alternator post there...

Dominik is a good builder of HO Alt's

I just bought an alt last week off of ebay for my explorer. 200 Amp HO alt, puts out 105 amps at idle (800 rpm) nice... Its an alterstart and i'm happy with it so far. I got it shipped overnight to my house too all for a grand total of $290.
