Argh! I bought this unit for Christmas and about a week ago it stopped accepting CD's! I had an mp3 cd in there for about a month, and it was playing that fine, switching sources was no problem, but then I ejected it, and when I tried to play another cd, the slot would take it in, the slot motor would keep turning, and then about 2 seconds it would spit it out. There is no TOC error, and the unit switches the source during that time to play the CD, but then it ejects and switches back.
I tried to reset the unit, I cut the power, and I opened the top to see if anything was stuck in the player deck. The visual inspection looked great, everything is still as clean as i bought it.
I recently did the cable repair on an MP919, but this is totally different issue. Does anyone have a clue why its doing this and what I could do to fix it? I received it as a present, so i don't have the receipt, but i do have the "kenwood passport" deal...I'd rather do a home fix than take it in. Any ideas would be great! Thanks!
Andy
