I'm trying to install a cd player in my peugeot 205 but the previous owner must have cut the cables and its all a mess. The colors on the cables is what confuses me the most there is no red, black, orange cable. I have a grey, blue and one more cant remeber the color on it.
If anyone please could help me with posting a diagram or just explain the colors would be greatly appreciated.

I don't remember ever seeing a 205, only 206's and 306's- sporty little cars.

The best thing to do is check the wires with a multimeter.  Check for voltage with the car off (constant), then on (switched).  Then just ground the black wire.

Check the remaining wires for resistance (for speakers), and touch them with a battery to see which speaker is which.  If the speaker moves out, the wire you touched the positive terminal to is positive, the other is negative.  If the speaker moves in, you've got them backwards.

My ex once told me I have a perfect face for radio.

Thanks geepherder I did just that and its all working fine now. Except for the rear speakers which I did not find any wiring to have to do it myself when I put in some extra speakers in the back :D.
