Pioneer KEH-P5000 wiring?

I have an old Pioneer KEH-P5000 I want to toss into my truck but I don't have the install manual.  Thus, I dont know what collor wire goes to what speeker on the unit. Can anyone help me out?

Works just fine for me.

Anyhow, standard speaker coloring should be like the below:

Left Front: WHITE/ White Black

Right Front: Grey/Grey black

Left Rear: GREEN/ Green black

Right Rear: PURPLE / Purple Black

I don't know if your model is the same, but it appears that the KEH-P5900 is colored to the standard, and I assume most are.

what I have is a

Green, green with black strip, gray, gray with black strip, green with red strip, black with grin strip, black with gray stip, gray with red strip.

I can't find a KEH-P5000 on their list of HUs, so I can't help much more than I already have.

well, pioneer was the last major manufacturer to adopt the wire color standard we ahve all grown to know and love.

i can't remember whether the black tracers are fronts or rears, but the green sets are the left side and the grey sets are for the right side.

you should just adjust the fader on your deck so that only the front should be playing.  as you are hooking up the wires you can guess and check to confirm proper wiring.

Here is what I found. I thought I would share with ya all should this issue come up again in the furure.

Q. What is the wiring for my car stereo, 1999 or older

Pioneer KEH-P5000 wiring? -- posted image.
A. Before 1999 - Low Power Car Stereo KE models only.
GREEN - left front positive

GREEN WITH RED STRIPE - left rear positive

GRAY - right front positive

GRAY WITH RED STRIPE - right rear positive

BLACK - negative for all speakers

RED - switched power

ORANGE - constant power

BLUE - trigger for amp or power antenna

YELLOW = to lighting switch terminal.

Then connect a ground wire from the center post on the back of the radio, to chassis ground.

Before 1999 - High Power Car Stereos DEH & KEH Models only.

GREEN is the left front ( + ).

GREEN/ BLACK is the negative ( - ).

GREEN/ RED is the left rear ( + ).

BLACK/ GREEN is the negative ( - ).

GRAY is the right front ( + ).

GRAY/BLACK is right front negative. ( - ).

GRAY/RED is right Rear Positive ( + ).

BLACK/ GRAYis the right rear negative ( - ).

RED is the Acc lead.

ORANGE is for memory.

BLACK is ground. ( - ).

BLUE is for power Ant.

YELLOW is to lighting switch terminal.

1999+ Models - DEH & DEHP , KEH & KEHP

WHITE = left front speaker positive

WHITE/ BLACK = left front speaker negative

GREEN = left rear speaker positive

GREEN/ BLACK = left rear speaker negative

GREY = right front speaker positive

GREY/BLACK = right front speaker negative

VIOLET = right rear speaker positive

VIOLET/BLACK = right rear speaker negative

YELLOW = to terminal always supplied with power

RED = to terminal controlled by ignition switch

BLACK = chassis ground

BLUE/WHITE = to system control of power amp or power antenna

ORANGE = to lighting switch terminal.
