Has anybody had problems with the new 2005 Eclipse decks and AM reception?? It's weird. My FM reception is perfect but AM, i can't get ANYTHING. Okay, ONE station plays at about 35%, rest is just static.
My dealer told me that Eclipse decks have crappy radios, but I mean, come on! Gotta get AM!
Any suggestions?

i would suspect an antenna problem.... have you tried plugging a test antenna into the unit?

BTW, was it an Eclipse dealer that told you their HU's have a crappy tuner stage? quite the saleman isnt he?

The salesman was probably trying to sell an Alpine, or something along those lines... A far worse tuner, IMO...
It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

Yes it was an Eclipse dealer.
I have not tried an other antennas. I'm not an installer in any way and wouldn't know how to even get the deck out of the dash.
