Ok, I have a question I have a guy that bought a 2 12 box for his silverado and now he wants me to build a box for the 12s now but he wants a ported box for them.  Has anybody tackled this before?  If so, please let me know what you did and how you did it.

Ported designs require a lot ore volume than sealed designs do, so you will have to try and gain as much space as you can.  If you use a box design program, I use WinISD, you can design a smaller volume box than recommended by the manual for the woofers.  Granted you'll wind up with some unreasonable port sizes at first but if you go to a square port you can play with the size of the port more.  You will also have a roll-off point at a slightly higher frequency and a peak a little before that roll-off.  You'll loose a little output, so you'll just have to play with it.  It can be done it is just where you are willing to scarifice.  I have done this with some Audiobahn flame-Q's, taken them from about 1.95^3 feet to about 1.08^3 feet and lost very little output.  Good Luck!

I have an '05 silverado, i recommend kicker L7 S8" 's.  Largest speaker than can be placed under factory seat.  You should comfortably be able to fit 4 & amp under it w/o changin original seat config.
