i have heard to remove the stereo unit from the truck is quite easy. there is a utility hook, with a center screw which will be needed to be removed ? where can i find this ? have not been able to find any manuals for this truck.

One screw behind the glove box door. One screw behind hook. Pull off entire dash bezel.Four screws holding in deck.

yeah that sounds about right, I replaced my factory stereo, front and rear door speakers, placed amp under driver seat, and 2 10 inch subs under that back seat. (2003 ram quad cab)
