Orion is not what it used to be, IMO, but then again none of the "big boys" of yesterday are either. They still make good stuff from my experiences with their products.

I agree, not what they used to be, but still good. I've never heard that particular sub though.

Orion is still a great company. I have 2 C12s, great subs. They are 200rms and im running them off a 600.1, the P series is even better, I have heard some setups with the P12s and they sounded really good.

The new orions are definitely not what they used to be.. but they are close..

Now DEI owns everything that used to be great.. hopefully they will redesign the new lines the way the old ones were and stay away from the stupid changes they have made over the past year.  I personally install tons and tons of DEI equiptment and love it.. just wish the higher end stuff would go back to what it was 5 yrs ago.. pure power alternator killing amps and stuff like that hehe :)

Thats what I'm talking about. Like when Hifonics made the Colossus and the "original" Zeus amps. And Orion and Precision Power made the "real" RMS power amps. There needs to be a company that goes back to "the good old days" when you knew you could depend on a product by the name brand it carried.

...and we ain't talkin' 'bout just re-releasing one little amp, like RF is doing with the Punch45, either!!!! I was some GOOD OLD DAYS stuff, like the Orion reds, the Soundstream Class A 50, the old Nakmichi 160 watt monoblocks (of which I still own a pair), the good Alpine stuff, the Linear Power 5002...
Are you listening, manufacturers????
It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."
