I need some help in setting up my new system and wondered if anyone has knowledge of this equipment.
I recently traded for
Orion XTR200 amp,
Orion BIQ300
Orion BIX200
plus a bunch of other A/D/S/T selloff items.
The Orion components have balanced lines and mini-XLR connectors.
Can anyone tell me the pin configuration for the mini-XLR connections? I have the connectors but need to make up the patch cords.
Here's pic of the mini's next to a regular size XLR.

This is the balanced line with drain wire I was going to use.

the BIQ300 pre-amp xover IN & OUTS
Can anyone tell me which are which and what the black and grey wires are for to the left of the pwr/grnd/remote?

USUALLY, and I cannot say this is true for car audio, this is the way they are wired. I can vouch for this as far as professional gear, but I will not take the hit if it's wrong for your amps... If it were MY gear, I'd use those suggestions, being as it is Orion, and I'd bet they use industry standard connections...
It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

Let me just say congrats on some awesome old school orion gear. I had the NT200 amps (what the XTR series you have became) and I loved them. They had great SQ. Haemphyst is likely correct, but if you are still looking for the solution, you may be able to talk to a decent tech at DEI and find out. The same mini XLR connections can be found on the still current Orion DEQ30.
